THREAD: Pansy and Euan Who: Pansy Parkinson and Euan Abercrombie When: 22 August 2000, morning Where: Pansy's London townhouse Rating: Low Summary: Pansy brings Euan home from the pet store prison.
When she'd first learned of her position in the Arranged Marriage Programme, Pansy had been thrilled. That is, she'd been thrilled all of the five seconds it took her to realize that she hadn't been matched with Draco. The following hour had then been filled with screaming and utterly destructive behavior, casualties including the owl which had delivered the notice, one of Pansy's favourite muggle fashion magazines, and a particularly innocent box of chocolates.
Once Pansy was done with her tantrum, she purged all emotion regarding her less than satisfactory match with one Euan Abercrombie and moved on, replacing it with determination and future goals. She'd make the others envious of Euan for being matched with her, and she'd make herself appear to be the best damn fiance and wife, especially in front of her superiors. Euan would have no choice but to fall in line because Pansy was determined to kill him with kindness. And if, by chance, he displayed the insolence and ingratitude that some of their peers had expressed with their current situation, Pansy would discipline him accordingly.
But until he displayed such behavior or voiced a negative opinion, Pansy was pleased to treat him cordially (even if he wasn't Draco). "Welcome to your new home, Euan," Pansy said sweetly as she led him into her townhouse, one of her father's premier properties in downtown London. "I had some of your things brought over this morning, but I don't believe everything has quite arrived yet." Pansy walked through the large foyer, encouraging Euan to follow. "Mimi!" she called, trying to get her favourite elf's attention. "Euan and I will take lunch once he's cleaned up a bit. Prepare something from the list his mother gave us."
"Now, darling, would you like a tour, or shall we get you to the washroom?" Pansy asked. At this point, she was simply going through the motions and cataloging the way that he responded to her. Euan was younger than she was, and it was obvious, but something could be done about that very easily. It was his attitude that she was most immediately interested in deciphering.
