Hannah didn't even seem to consider the question before she nodded. "I'm sure," she told him. "I've been thinking about it for a while. I don't trust that he'll be able to keep from an outburst." It was only part of the truth. Yes, she was concerned that her father wouldn't be unable to contain himself, but it was also selfishly motivated.
Hannah didn't want to face her father as she walked down the aisle and married a Death Eater. Even if she knew she was doing it to keep her family from harm, even if she didn't think it would be as awful as everyone feared, it still felt like she was betraying everything she believed in.
The hand on hers made her look up at him more than his mention of rebel friends. She looked startled for a moment, but when she noticed his smirk, she offered one in return. "I haven't got any rebel friends," she said quietly. "Well I'm sure some of my friends are rebels by now, but I haven't really talked with any of them since sixth year." She sounded like she truly regretted that fact, too.
"Anyway," she added in a brighter tone, attempting to force some levity into the situation, "I'm sure none of them would want to be caught dead there. Literally." It was a rather morbid joke, but she was hoping to cheer Bole up a little. The whole 'punch the wall' episode had been unnerving.
