Higgs/Eleanor
"Monsters? So we're talking about three heads and tentacles?" she teased. "No, I'm surprised my parents even had me," she admitted casually.
Eleanor laughed lightly, "Oh I'm sure, everyone calling you the 'Great Terence Higgs'?" She was trying to be easy and charming but when he brushed her cheek and she knew he saw her blush she felt like a child again. Without thinking her hand went up to grab his, her heart pounding. She lowered the fingers from her face, trying to get the words she wanted. 'Let's pretend that didn't happen,' she meant to say. "What do you think of all of this?" she asked instead. The question had been on her mind but she didn't know where it was coming from just then. Swallowing she released his hand, her heart pounding but her chin tilted up just slightly, ever proud.
Eleanor laughed lightly about the Malfoy's but didn't offer further trash on them. She didn't always appreciate them but Minister Malfoy was in a precarious position, not to mention his wife.
"Technically, you never mentioned you snuck down," she pointed out.
She knew she needed to change the way she thought but when he called her doll- even apologized- she felt confused. There seemed to be a line that every day was growing fuzzy. She knew he saw her more as a child than a woman- a problematic situation- but he hadn't rejected her in anyway. Perhaps he thought of her more like he did Silas... but did he talk to Silas that way. "That is fine, I didn't think I had seen any when we arrived," she responded with a small shrug. She did miss riding but it wasn't worth seeing her father to go again. "Do you not know how to ride then?" she inquired.
