With a nod Silas looked around. "Mmhm, yes. Rose is- was here. I don't know where she went though. Eleanor is...the one engaged to my cousin, they are coming next week." She wanted to say that she missed El, her best friend she had shared a room with for what felt like half her life but she didn't want to sound like she needed a crutch, or to even start rambling, which was threatening to overcome her as his hand came to her hip. She glanced over at him wondering what he was doing, fighting the color on her cheeks when suddenly he was commenting on her eyes. "I-" the color was harder to fight, but she tried her hardest to just look surprised. "Yes." She wasn't sure what else she was supposed to say, it wasn't even a compliment, just a random statement; but the random statement was probing, it meant he was looking at her and not in a flippant manner.
Standing awkward for a moment she finally nodded and then smiled slightly, one corner lifting more than the other. "Is she here tonight?" He had made mention of Morag more then once and was beginning to wonder about the apparent designer.
Swallowing silently but thick when he leaned in, she tilted her head to let him closer and after a moment laughed, quietly though. "I'm more a...gosling then a peacock. Or whatever a baby peacock is called..." Her head tilted in thought before she just smiled and looked back around the room.
Playing with the bangles again she smiled to herself at his words, "next week you should throw a special party for all of us that had to come this weekend." Which was really mean, but it would get people to go that might not regularly go. She could probably convince Rose.... Silas really wanted to seem like she was trying, though she wasn't much good at things like this so managed to mostly fall flat instead of being useful.
