RP: Of wands and witches
Who: Leslie Ollivander, Cho Chang When: Saturday morning Where: Ollivander's Wands Rating: Low Warnings: None Summary: Cho keeps her promise to introduce Mr. Ollivander to Reggie.
Every day it was a little harder to get out of bed. Were it not for Reggie's insistance, she was certain that she would have given up even trying days and days ago. But her familiar refused to allow her to lie wrapped up in every blanket she had found to drag onto her bed long past sunrise. He would fuss and hiss and cry until she rose and dressed and went downstairs for a breakfast she could barely stomach. Most days dry toast was followed by hours of walking through the empty lands around the Flint household and even more hours of chasing a practice snitch across the heavens before she crept reluctantly back into her cage and fell into an exhausted sleep in her bed.
Today was slightly different as righteous fury motivated her do more than wander like an earthbound spirit. Just exactly who did Narcissa Malfoy think she was to try and 'teach' a daughter of the House of Chang proper manners? Her ancestors had lived in opulence and grace long before these British wizards' forebears learned to do more than bang rocks together to make fire. It was insulting to be told to 'dress to her station'. If these arrogant bastards wanted to see her dressed as suited to her station, then so be it. Let them see exactly who Chang Cho was.
This bit of show and tell would require a trip to her personal vault, of course, so she dressed quietly, ate her dry toast in silence, gathered her vault key and headed toward the floo. Flint had never said that she could go to Diagon but then he had also never said that she couldn't. With Reggie draped around her shoulders and coiled around her throat like a living stole, she Floo'd to the Leaky Cauldron and from there started up the cobblestone way to Gringotts.
As she passed Ollivander's, she remembered her journal-conversation with the old man and on impulse stepped into the shop. "Mr. Ollivander?" she called softly.
