Hannah looked a bit alarmed at the suggestion that Parvati would redecorate anything. Mostly, she had no idea that the manor could be redecorated. "Well I should think that if anyone does any decorating, it should be me," she pointed out. Glancing at him, she quickly added, "I won't, though. I mean, I'm not trying to..." She cleared her throat and let the words trail off.
At his question about wanting anything, she shook her head. "No, I had a late breakfast," she said. "I thought I might make some tea later." Not 'have tea made' but actually make it herself: it was strange but she found the act of preparing tea almost as comforting as drinking it. It reminded her of home, and Sunday mornings spent making tea with her mother before any of the bad things started happening.
"I am enjoying the weather, though," she said. "I'll probably take another walk today: get some fresh air." She looked out towards the distant trees. "It's a nice change after being cooped up for so long." She smiled and then looked down at her hands, folded demurely in her lap.
"Parvati suggested that we do some shopping," Hannah suddenly blurted out. "Sort of a girls' day, I suppose. She wants to invite Lavender Brown - she's engaged to Goyle. I don't know if you know him or not, I don't think he played Quidditch..." She looked a bit nervous, though she recalled what he'd said about timidity and looked at him evenly. "Would it be alright if we go?" she asked. "All three of us were imprisoned for a time and I think we could all use the chance to feel a bit more normal again." She glanced away and added, "Some new clothes might be nice too," almost as an afterthought, thinking that maybe he wouldn't catch that she was asking for permission and a favor.
