That morning, he worked himself hard. The patrol had interfered with his routine a little too much for his liking, even if he was sure he was going to get used to it. So, that morning he went about his workout as hard as he could. It was almost like he was back in his Quidditch days at Hogwarts. He was up shortly after dawn to do his running, and his swimming. Then, he was in the air, and that workout was just as hard as the rest. In fact, he had a few scraps and cuts from coming too close to the trees on his property, but nothing that wouldn’t be healed in a few hours.
Instead of going through the rest of the house, Alex landed on the roof of the tower to his home, and set his broom to the side as he flopped down on one of the lounge chairs that was there. An elf quickly appeared with a jug of water for him, and was gone an instant later. They were more than familiar with the young man’s routine as it really hadn’t changed much since he was first accepted onto the Slytherin team. It just didn’t happen as much anymore, but he still worked out rather often.
In fact, after he took a gulp of water and set the glass to the side, he tossed aside his sweaty shirt and took a slow deep breath as his eyes closed and he relaxed a bit. Today, he figured, was going to be an enjoyable slow day. If only the others would grant him that much.
