"So glad you're on-board with this plan. Remember that, Trace," Daphne waved a hand casually. "In case you're ever questioned on it." She nodded her head a bit, "Don't worry, we'll ditch Alex and get plenty of girl talk in to discuss such vital matters," Daphne added with a twinkle of mischief for her equally blonde friend.
"Or you would be the one imploding," she considered. "I think Narcissa Malfoy could take you," she teased him with a wink. "Or you would just have her enraptured to the point she wouldn't notice. I don't know which." That Alex was so rough and tumble and less than about upper class pureblood propriety was part of his definite charm. A bloke who could destroy his opponent on the Pitch and take a girl out dancing afterward was worth his weight at Gringott's after all.
Daphne grinned as they came to the steps of the shop and at least could leave the lingering eyes and whispering voices behind them on the streets of Diagon Alley. "You'll always be infamous," she said casually, taking in the robes and various other styles that were arrayed with dragon hide. "Well, I wonder if they have a jewelery section, too."
