She raised an eyebrow at that. She didn't doubt his sincerity but wondered how she could possibly been on his mind for years.
Cho slid slowly out of his lap and to her feet. "You do that, husband mine," she said, leaning over to drop a shadow of a kiss on his cheek. "And I will go up-stairs to wrap your gift properly." She felt nearly giddy for reasons she'd rather not analyse and so with a slightly sappy smile on her face and a definite swing to her walk, she sauntered off toward the stairs.
Behind her, Reggie slithered out from under the couch to coil up in the middle of the floor and watch Marcus with rapt eyes and a look of anticipation of tasty bribery on his narrow face.
