Remus had always been one of those people who could eat and eat and never gain a pound. He had been like that since he was a child and it only got worse as he grew older. His Mum always joked he had to have a hallow leg or something.
Before he could answer, she swept his bowl away to refill it. He wasn't going to say no, but maybe this time he wouldn't eat it quite so quickly. He'd be up half the night getting sick if he did. Her comments about bringing back a buck made him laugh. He knew she wouldn't care, but it was nice to hear her talk about it as something to be proud of. She was so accepting on his in every way, to her, there was no monster.
"Well, I think it was a doe, I don't actually remember seeing the thing. Just bits of fur and some blood once the moon waned," he explained, laughing at her suggestion to mount it on the wall. "I should give that a try sometime. Would add a bit of a woodsy feeling to this place. I don't think James or Sirius would of suggested that, course James would've been a bit offended by mounting a rack on the wall. Maybe it would work with some Wolfsbane."
He left the stew on the table, rolling back his sleeves to show her the scabs that were healing on his arms. There wasn't an explanation to why he did it, but he wanted her to know he was okay. He was realizing he trusted her more than he had probably trusted anyone before.
