He merely hummed against her skin, squeezing her closer to him. He should have told her. He wanted to. He couldn't risk her asking him not to say anything. He wasn't sure if he'd have to go against her wishes or if he'd have to go against his own to honor hers. He wasn't willing to find out, not when he was so beyond furious. His little cousin was too trusting, maybe if she wasn't he wouldn't be so worried. She was going to get hurt and once again he was reminded of how little he could do for her.
