Who: Ron Weasley and Lavender Brown When: Thursday, July 31st, afternoon Where: Diagon Alley, wandering the shops Rating: PG Summary: Feeling the need to buy her something Status: Closed/InComplete
He had this need, or more like a desire, to buy Ana something. Their wedding was about a week away. He knew it was traditional to get a gift for his new wife, but it was more than that. His whole life he had been short of funds, to buy nice gifts for his friends. Now he had the resources, and this need to show her or make some demonstration of his growing affection for her seemed appropriate. But he had gotten her an engagement ring already; that had been so easy. The ring had been elegant and smooth and not overly astentacious. It had said to him, a simple friendship, and had seemed perfect. Now, he wanted to make another gesture.
The problem was he was stuck. He didn't know what to get her exactly, and he wandered down the Alley to look into different shops, searching and thinking and getting more frustrated. He had paused in front of the Quidditch supplies store, taking a small break before he began again. He thought that maybe he was going to have to go look in Muggles stores for something really unusual and unique. He realized he could use some advice, but Hermione was the last person he was going ask. He needed a woman's perspective and at first thought he'd try to find Ginny.
