Daphne always ended up in unsuspecting situations. Since it was Thursday and she only worked in the morning, Daphne spent the day shopping and spending all sorts of money that she really didn't need to spend. But now that she was married and had too much time on her hands, she did things like that and she did it well. Plus, she may or may not have gotten something good for Harry. But he'd only receive it once things were back to normal and stayed that way for a while. While yes, things were better now, she was still tense at times, though it wasn't noticeable at all.
Hearing the door open, Daphne glanced over her shoulder, barely making out the shape of Harry stepping inside. "Who're you talking to?" she asked, not turning away from what she was doing to greet him. She had made Tiramisu when she got home from shopping, so after it chilled, she figured she'd try it before Harry got home. Unfortunately, he got home just as she was trying it. Plus, it was her first real attempt at food making.
Deciding that he'd need some too, Daphne reached into the cupboard above and pulled out a small dish, scooping out a big scoop into each dish for the two of them, still not turning around as she focused on making it look perfect. Maybe she'd even open the champagne and make a little romantic desert out of it. That wouldn't be so bad, would it?
