She sighed, finally willing herself to cease all tears and sharp breathing. It'd be okay once she calmed down. Which she hadn't really. Not since she came home from work. Although now that Harry was there, she had the feeling things would be a lot better for her. Just his presence soothed her, and for someone as high strung as Daphne, that was amazing.
Hearing his words, Daphne turned her head, clenching her eyes shut as she fought tears. It wasn't goodbye, it was 'I'll see you soon.' There was a difference to her, and while she understood his pain, part of her knew she really needed to do this, with or without his approval. "Will you forgive me for this?" she questioned, equally as hollow and numb as before. She wasn't leaving him, she was just leaving.
It'd kill her to be away so long. Just the four days that he was gone drove her crazy, but that was only four days. Tack another ten on and she had herself a right shitty vacation time slot. No matter how much she hated this trip, she knew she needed it. It would help her and Harry in the long run, too.
