Who: Harry and Daphne When: Thursday Evening Where: The House What: Back Home...FINALLY!! Rating: NC-17 Status:Closed/Complete
If nothing else, Harry was glad to finally be back in London. It had been a busy and hectic for days. As he had expected, it had rained for a good majority of the time. They'd been wet and covered in mud for a good portion of the time. Sure, one could cast drying charms and the like, but on the excursions that lasted for more then 24 hours, the pull on your magic levels wasn't helpful at all. It was easier just to face the weather head on. After the first two days, they had all grown used to it until they barely noticed the rain or the mud.
He had been hoping to have wrapped things up earlier in the day, but things had not gone as he had planned...which wasn't exactly surprising. Things rarely went as he planned. He hadn't planned on being married but he found himself counting down the days until he could get back. It didn't help that Daphne had a way of making sure she was the topic of thought...at least where Harry was concerned. Their shower before he left had kept her on his mind, but the gifts she had insisted on sending only happened to make it worse.
By the time he had gotten out of Scotland, he'd been to tired to worry about being dressed. Before he had got to go home, he had to stop in at the ministry and file the paperwork. Now under normal circumstances, he was expected to be in work clothing at all times, but he hadn't cared. He'd just spent four days in the rain. They could excuse him if he showed up wearing a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and a ball cap. After the past couple days he deserved to be dressed comfortably.
Once he had finished that he'd immediately headed home. He might have rushed through the paperwork, but he wanted to go home. Daphne had been right. Four days had been far too long. Instead of taking the chance splinching himself, he headed up to the atrium. After stepping into the Ministries fireplace it was only a moment or two before he stepped out of the fireplace at his and Daphne's home. Dropping his things on the floor, he headed further into the house in search of his wife. He was tired of strangers, he wanted something familiar.
