Dementors Return to Azkaban

Talk of Dementors is running rampant in the aftermath of Minister, Kingsley Shaklebolt's, public announcement on the changes that will be taking place later this month at the well known Wizarding Prison, Azkaban. Among these changes include the reinstatement of the Dementors, an increase of security in order to prevent any future attempts by prisoners to escape, as well as the isolation of all prisoner cells within the structure. It is this reporters opinion that by the end of this very month Azkaban will surely be the loneliest place this side of the Atlantic.
"These decisions were not made easily," says Kingsley, in his most recent statement. "There has been much thought and even more debate on the subject. In the end it was decided that these action would be what benefited society the most. The Decree on the Regulation of Wizarding Marriage and Family Planning was instated in order to answer the cry for tolerance. Only by joining together and gaining respect for one another will the Wizarding world be able to overcome the intolerance that has led us through over a decade of fear. Unfortunately, there has already been attempts to destroy our effort and there is talk of more extreme action being taking against us, but with these new security measures we are hoping that perhaps these social terrorists will see the error of their ways and desist immediately."
With Azkaban returning to the ways of old, there have been questions raised on the possibility of other changes taking place. Is this the beginning of a complete structural overhaul or simply one man's attempt to change society for the better? |
