So since the Orphans' Thanksgiving Dinner was kind of a wash due to all the kidnappings, I'm going to move it over to an Orphans' Chanuramakwanzmas dinner instead.
It'll be at my place in Key West Florida [address] and it'll start midday on the 22nd which is the third night of Chanukah and also the winter solstice, longest night of the year. We'll run all the way through Monday the 26th, which is Boxing Day and the first day of Kwanzaa, or we'll keep going until the food runs out, whichever takes longer. Turkey, ham and desserts will be provided, bring your own alcohol, dishware and a side dish to share.
Bring your family, your friends, random people off the street, the more the merrier, really. No need to RSVP, though you can if you like, I'll probably put up another couple warnings before the big day. You don't have to bring presents, but you can if you like, just bring a good story or two, especially for the first night, though I bet we'll be sharing them the whole time. |

It's been a while, so I thought I'd let you all know that the dear captain and I are still out and about, if not incredibly active. if any of you lot need anything from either of us, feel free to pop by or give us a shout. Just because we aren't talkative does not necessitate that we are not keeping a watchful eye on our lot.
But as always, if it weren't for a reason, I wouldn't be posting.
The captain, Aggie and myself would like to extend an invite to an open house. If you've ever wished to simply be more social, or meet people of a fascinating and bizarre nature, this would be the time and place. A buffet of most generous proportions will be there, as well as possible live music by whoever bothers bringing their instrument of choice.
The day's Saturday, the time's 1pm until question mark, and the place is our island home on Tortuga. [Directions from portkey].

Right, so I know I just gave everyone a warning about a week ago, but I realize I didn't give the history of the Orphan's Thanksgiving.
Back in the day, when me and Mary were living in Louisiana, we knew quite a few people around who didn't have family around to come for dinner on the holidays, so we had the space at the time, and just invited them to stay with us for the weekend and for the feast, and it just grew from there.
After Mary and me went our separate ways, I just kept on with it, since after that I was the one without anywhere to go, figured I might just make a tradition out of it. And I suspect Mary did the same.
So there you are, invitation's open to anyone, whether or not you've got somewhere else to go [Key West address] Usually start around midday Thursday, goes through Sunday sometime, or whenever the food runs out, whichever one takes longer. Bring whatever you like, sides, drinks, extra dishware, and bring anybody you think needs a good home-cooked meal, doors'll be open. |

Attention to those involved in the search for Shipwreck Island/Cove
We'll be setting sail on May Day, rain or shine, from [port address] in Palmetto Bay, Florida. We've got two ships, and two prestigious captains. First of which is our very own Captain Jack Sparrow, captaining the Endless Horizon and Captain Anne Bonney with her ship. We've got more than enough crew for both after the great influx of interest. Both ships will be setting sail, Sparrow's ship taking the lead as we're the ones who've got the Compass. Anne's got a copy of the route, as best as we could lay it.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we got prepared behind the scenes. The captains and myself are very excited to start this venture, and we assure a fair share of the prize to all those involved in our endeavor, should we find anything shiny at the other end.
