Campground season's just about done, this weekend and next, and then it's back to being on call for week-long shifts just to make sure everything's as it should be.
Still weird to me that I've not only got a regular job, but one that I'm good at, though I do start to understand why ma' was always looking for something to do, guess that runs in the family, since I've been looking for a hobby to keep me busy in the off season.
Any suggestions? |

Summer camping season is in full swing, kind of nice to be useful all the time now, we've needed all hands on deck up at Goose Lake for the past couple weeks. Never would have thought being a park ranger would actually be fun.
Go figure. Anyway, if anyone's thinking about camping, this is a good place for it, and if you aren't so much for the chilly evenings I know a few other places I'd reccommend. |

So! since I've been positively awful with keeping up with... anything I've said lately (they do call it flighty for a reason):
Next Sunday. June 21st. Solstice slash baby shower slash housewarming party. Since it's finally just about warm enough here for most of you to stand. Everyone's welcome, with the understanding that we're far enough out of the way that no one will here you scream, or find your body. :D
Rules of the house: Presents welcome, but not necessary. Food and drink provided, including booze for the 'adults'. There's plenty of room to stay, if you can't find it in yourselves to leave in a timely fashion, and... I think that's it. Not big on rules, me.
So... yes? |

Grandad's gone on. Probably a while ago. Was wondering why I hadn't seen him, makes sense I guess, not like him to stay anywhere for long.
Things seem to have settled down otherwise, can't hear animals unless they're actually talking to me, took getting cussed out by a squirrel the other day to realize it. Not really sure what to make of it, but I'll cope, not like animals make a habit of talking to me.
In other news, I've got another off week coming up, think I'll do some sightseeing, anywhere in particular I should check out? |

I woke up this morning and I could hear birds, just birds, not what they were saying. I kind of miss it, it was weird as all hell, but I'd kind of gotten used to it, reminded me of home a little. |

Spring's on the way, which means that it's only a few more weeks until the campground opens up again and it'll be all hands on deck. I'm actually looking forward to this, which is a little strange on first blush, but then I remember that I like helping people, runs in the family, and it's right back to making sense again.
Goose Lake campground, for anybody who's interested, just past the California/Oregon border, reservations are probably a good idea, it's a pretty small campground as far as national parks go. |

Everybody being a different age than they were yesterday kind of reminds me of being home. Ma used to do that just for fun. She probably still does, kind of her MO.
Anyway, if anybody needs help adjusting, settling in or anything, give me a poke. Can't say as I'll be any help with figuring out the reason why, but I'm good for talking at. |

That was ... strange. Didn't think it was tornado season. Anybody mind explaining to me why I got hit with one? Maybe a little help with where I am now? I mean, smells like California, maybe Oregon, in either case pretty sure I'm out by Goose Lake, and I know that's not where I was before I got caught in that storm. |
