How could this be? A whirlwind in the tunnels, yes, but... I look like a normal human!

You have come to a world that is not your own. It is an alternate reality. The whirlwind or tornado as I think is the common term now was the very thing that brought you here. This [website] explains many things.

Many others change their form when they come through as well.

So, the old philosophies were right... there are more than one world. I never dreamed I would be dropped in one, though. Some of the tunnels are strange, and people have called them fey for years, but I had not considered such to be the case.

Truly? I find it... odd. I am... imbalanced, and feel almost weightless.

Fey? Do you know the fey, sir? I have not heard of their presence since I was in my own world. That was... another time completely.

Do you know of your location? There should be a card in your wallet with your picture that should tell you where you live.

Only what is written in my world's fiction. I am not sure if they were ever real in my world or not. Most I knew did not think so.

True. I am in the tunnels beneath New York. I recognize them.

Hmmm, I am apparently replacing someone named Finn Barney. He works down here for the city.

That suits me quite well, actually.

In my world they were very real. A lot of other things are as well. That is neither here nor there. I am sure it would be of no interest to you anyway.

As I cannot seem to go back home, it is not so much travel as being caught in a whirlwind, as you were, and dropped here, out of time and place.

Apparently a place in mid-town is where the man I replaced lived. I am used to living in the tunnels myself. I am unsure what I will do as yet.
