Apologizing for something you are is craziness, and I'll have none of it. I appreciated your help while you were aboard. I adore your company and your lovely music, and I'll be glad to see you again once we're back in London. You owe us nothing, and you've never owed us anything.
You saved me as well, mate, don't ever forget that. Miniver, if it weren't for you, I'd have been utterly lost, and I would never have known what to do with myself. You helped me through a lot, and my helping you was only payback for that. You've taken something onto your shoulders that isn't your weight to bear again. And the only reason I can so easily see that is because that's one of my own faults as well.
Miniver, you make me a proud man for just knowing you. Don't ever, ever apologize for not fulfilling the whole journey. That's not the point of it, anyway. It was an experience for you, was it not? That's all this was for any of us. An experience. And for those of us still on the journey, we'll not have lost heart in you for any reason. We all have the same knowledge you now have, and we won't ever fault you for leaving. Many of us would have on our first time, if we were able to, too.
