My girlfriend's told me there are other people here who used to be cars. Is that true?

	Doing a lot better now than I was when I first arrived, thanks! I was kind of sentient before I got dragged here, so I had at least some idea of how things worked, sometimes the stairs still give me trouble, but I haven't tripped on the floor in ages. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	My boys were already here when I got here, and I'm thankful for that, I don't know what I would have done without them, except worry. And we've all got personality, sure, but not all cars can actually think for themselves and have problem-solving capabilities, and I was definitely doing that. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Yeah, not always, it was a recent development, at least, as far as I know. The confusing thing is that I remember stuff that happened before I was thinking on my own, we're still not really sure how it happened. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

It's not a photographic memory by any means, but some things are clearer than others. I mean, I know that it's thanks to Sam and his incessant typing on the laptop on the long stretches of highway that I know how to type, the same goes for my taste in music I think, I like what Dean likes, because that's what I know best.

But as far as actual moments of memory go? A lot of it runs together, and I can't differentiate things that happened when the boys were young to things that happened after we lost John.

The memories or my boys? Though, really they kind of go hand in hand. I'm the family heirloom, or, well, I was before I came here, became human.

I was John's, first and I'm kind of the reason that he and Mary got together in the first place, and I'm definitely the reason for Dean, I mean, I'm sure you know what they say about kids in the backseat versus accidents in the backseat and vise versa.

A lot of the early stuff runs together, and so does a lot of the recent stuff, and they kind of overlap, I mean...okay, this is probably going to sound crazy, but do they have vampires and werewolves where you come from? That you know of, anyway.

They're real where I come from, they're real a lot of places, it's just that most people don't know it.

In any case, things went... wrong. And John went vigilante, hunting down the things that go bump in the night, raised the boys as hunters. Dean took to it like a fish to water, it was the family business, helping people, hunting things.

Sam... well, he liked the helping part, and he's good at the hunting part, when he lets himself.

And that's why patches of memory start to overlap, because there are only so many covens, so many nests that can be burned out, the critters have to follow the rules, so a Woman in White that John took down while the boys were still back at the hotel, or the run-down apartment years ago is almost the same as the Woman in White that the boys took down just a couple years ago.
