I was just getting settled in, you know. New flat, new boyfriend, new job. Only to be up and snagged out of the universe one more time, and this time I didn't even choose it. And! No tight pants.

I still have a few questions. If I'm here, who's in my place? Are Mum and Dad and Tish crazy with worry over where I've got off to? Is there any way to know? Portkeys and aliens and future children I can handle, but my family has been through quite enough.

Also: does anyone need a doctor? I'd might as well practice some medicine while I'm here.

I can't answer any of those questions since I just got here myself, but I might need a doctor. Actually, I'm definitely going to need a doctor.

Are you at all familiar with obstetrics?

It isn't my specialty, but I do have some experience in most fields. Part of the horrors of interning. The lady below seems to have a hospital in the States if that's closer to you, they've probably got obstetricians there.

No, we're not in the US anymore. We ended up in London for some reason. And my um... boyfriend? He doesn't like flying.

The reason I asked was because you seem to be familiar with things that are... out of the ordinary?

You can say that again. Nothing ordinary about my experience at all. What's so strange about your condition, if you don't mind my asking?

My boyfriend, the father of my child, is a car. Actually, he's a computer inside a car. When he's so inclined, he's human. But, technically, he's a computer. In a car.

I see.

Well, assuming you came to be pregnant by...the usual means, my guess would be your pregnancy should be normal. No harm in being careful, I suppose. Let's hope he or she is out of the oven before he or she decides to morph into an automobile.

I did and I was seeing a doctor, also used to unusual things - like aliens - before I ended up here.

I doubt the baby is going to morph into an automobile. I hope.

The main.. hospital.. for anyone who arrives here is mine, Kent Memorial. But it's in New York. There are portkeys all over though that go directly to Kent, and some that are definitely in London.

And I think.. it's you.. in your place. I think you're continuing on there like you were supposed to. Sometimes people disappear here and go back home and then come back.. whoever knows how long and they said they'd gone back to the exact moment the vortex dropped them off.

I'm in Wales, but maybe I can pop in. Not very familiar with the health care system in the states, though.

Hm. It certainly wouldn't be the first time I'd been gone longer than it appeared. I only hope you're right.

Ah well, it's not really that different. I mean we're all so related around here, with the portkeys and people going back and forth most stuff around here is universal. I've got a couple of doctors from over that way.

I really hope I am too.
