So, uh, a few days ago I did something kind of stupid, and now I'm paying the price. I'm not going to go into more detail than that unless strictly necessary.

The point here is: I've got some pretty bad scratches that I stitched up myself, and they've gotten infected, it's not bad and it's not spreading, but it's definitely not going away either. I'd rather not have to go to an actual hospital unless it's life or death, and really not even then either.

Anybody have homeopathic remedies or something?

	Aye, been through that myself. What my ma always used and it's always worked for me and my brother is a paste of equal parts Fels-Naptha and Sugar, with enough water to get it to turn thick like a salve. Stings like a motherfucker but it saps the germs right out. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Yeah, you really ought not to poke the bear on this one.

Not to balk on stitching yourself up but if you do it too tight, that might be cause for irritation as well. Too loose and you might risk further infection. Have you got someone you can ask to take a look at it?

Tea bags to soothe it for now, though. If you're the tea sort of person.

Then there's the usual method of peroxide and water, flushing it out as often as once every other hour until the redness goes away.

	Yeeeeah, I just winced at that, and it takes a lot to make me wince. Used good old-fashioned rubbing alcohol earlier and nearly passed out. Not the first time I've had to stitch myself up, probably won't be the last, I mean, hell, I've got the right supplies, but I suppose I could make the boy take a look at it anyway. 	I'd ask what you do for a living that you'd have to do that yourself more than once. But then I'm fairly certain I don't want to know. Aye, ask him.
