I am more aware of people's desires than I have ever been. Like why in human form I can crash a beach party and no one cares.

And unless I am needed later on, my band is having a small concert in London [address] should anyone desire to come.

Hello Fleur.

You are working for Lady Death's brother/sister I hear. It's a waste of your talents.

William Turner, I would apperciate you addressing me by my name.

And that assessment is not for you to make.

I apologize, The Flying Dutchman. I had not thought that a nickname was no longer allowed me.

Maybe not. It does not however keep it from being true. You were the greatest ship to ever sail the high seas and are now one of the most beautiful women I know. Anything other than worship is beneath you.

No, that one is not.

Funny, that was not the feeling I ever got from you. Perhaps, if I may be so bold as to say, then you are to blame for me 'going beneath myself'.

As you wish.

I never pretended to be anything other than myself. I didn't lead you on and if you'd given me half a chance, I'd have tried to work something out with you, but you hate my wife. You wouldn't listen to me when I tried to tell you about my falling in love with someone else, and you never gave me enough time to truly feel something for you.

So you may not blame me for your life choices. You seem happy the way things are, so I suppose I won't berate you for them anymore. I just do not see you achieving all that you so richly deserve.

I do hate your wife and I will not apologize for that. And you come to talk to me after months of silence to tell me how great I was once, how beautiful I am now, how much I deserve. Tell me William, if not this, what do I deserve? What in your mind could I do that would be worthy of my status? What do you believe I could achieve here in a world that is upside down?

Don't you get it? I am whatever anyone wants me to be. I am adaptable, mold-able. Captain Jones wanted me harsh, merciless, relentless. You wanted me gentle, vulnerable, needy, innocent and shy. So I was. And Desire wishes obedience and so I am. I am nothing more than that and never have been.

You deserve everything the world has to give you. Everything I could give you, if you were only to be open to me. You deserve to have anything and everything you could ever want.

You are so much more than that, Fleur. You are not anyone's slave, to be ordered around and given duties like a common servant. If you choose to be Desire's right hand, that is your choice, and I hope that he/she appreciates you. I do not know him/her, but that it is Lady Death's sibling. I required nothing of you but that you be yourself. If being yourself wasn't that you were gentle, vulnerable, needy, innocent and shy, then I apologize for assuming you were nothing other than yourself. I wouldn't want you to be something you didn't want to be.

You may have been adaptable and mold-able as a ship, but as a woman you are so much more. I don't have the right to tell you to be anything, all I can say is that I wish your hatred for me was not so deep. I truly miss you and all that we shared, both as Captain and ship in that other life, and as friends in this one. Your absence in my life deprives me of the privilege of gazing at your beauty.

How can you just constantly apologize while I am angry at you? Saying harsh things to you? It's beyond me and, to be honest, slightly irritating. If only you were as angry at me as I am to you, this whole ordeal would be so much easier.

I am confused, William Turner. Are you claiming to know me and have shared something with me or to not know me at all?

And are we not on the same level, both working for an Endless?

I apologise because I never wanted to hurt or anger you. I apologise because I have memories of ten years spent on you that I never experienced personally but would not give up for anything nonetheless. I apologise because to not do so would be nothing more than rudeness and arrogance. And as much as I wish to make things easier for you, in this I cannot yield.

We had a friendship before, one that with time could have been something more, if not for my marriage to Elizabeth and your hatred of her. I assume you had no such hatred for Admiral Norrington, or my feelings for him. I am not claiming anything other than a deep sense of regret that I do not have you in my life, in whatever capacity you are comfortable with.

We do both work for an Endless. And we are most likely on somewhat the same level. But my duties are not governed just by Lady Death, but by the Lord as well. And your worth is that of so much more than mine. You should be at a higher level than I.

I have much respect for Admiral Norrington for his courage facing Death. I only regret what I had to do. He is a brave, brave man.

Do not forget yourself, William Turner. Your worth is not higher than mine and if I had the time I would argue the opposite. But whatever Davy Jones might have believed, souls can not be judged and weighed like fish at the market. There is so much more than the eye can see and everyone always marks their price lower than the rest.

Sorry, sir/madam. I mean no offense to you.

I simply believe that she is worthy of status such as yours, not that of a common worker. She is magnificent.

Funny. I've heard that you haven't treated her quite as well as your flowery words might suggest.
