Holy cats. I've been married for literal years now. That's a trip; I never thought I'd be committed to anything but deviancy.

Wait.

Considering the wifey, I still think she counts under 'deviancy'.

(Deviancy is apparently a real word!)

Deviancy and petty larceny, I suspect.

Also: Petty Larceny is totally going to be my nom de plume whenever I start writing terrible spy romance novels.

It fits really well with my fake porn star name of Dirk Burglar.

I still can't believe you haven't run off. I don't know whether I'm lucky or just that awesome.

Six of one, half dozen of the other, depends on the day and other circumstances, weather patterns etc.

Mostly I'm more surprised by the fact that our kid (both versions) turned out as well-rounded as they did.

I chalk that up as a fluke. Complete accident. Henry's way too mellow to be anything but a body snatcher in the SHAPE of a Stillman. I love that kid.

Speaking of hot chicks I'm married to, and not speaking of the pressing need to eat food on occasion... I've got reservations at that schmancy little bistro down in the French Quarter for tonight. You know the one. I propose we dress up like Prohibition-era gangsters and get dinner.

And the fact that if you ask him if he's a Podperson he'll say yes.

Sounds like the best plan I've heard yet today, and seeing as how there's nothing pressing on the schedule for today (read: nothing on the schedule at all) I say we do this.

I'm glad that some version of us raised him right.

Yeah, I'm a king of good ideas when it comes to food and clothes. Oh shit, we'll have to pick up a new cigarette holder for you. Last one broke the last time we were out, and we never DID get around to replacing it.

Still can't believe some version of us raised a pacifist-sniper, though. ...but if anyone was going to it'd be us, wouldn't it?

Crap, that's right. We can always check McGee's first.

Enh, I'm pretty pacifist, for someone who inflicts pain on people for a living. It's consensual and not killy, though, so I don't think it counts.

That's probably a bad idea. I always walk out of there with bags full of stuff.

He's pretty much anti-killy, even in self-defense. He does say that he knows 87 different ways to disable people with office supplies though, so he's got one up on his old lady there, anyway.

Oh so do I. What time's the reservation? We'll need to factor in shopping time.

I haven't killed anyone who wasn't already dead to begin with, so there is that.

It's at 8pm, so we can safely shop without worrying about cramping our plans.

Let me finish my coffee, find my shoes, and we can be on our way.

I need pants, but once that's taken care of, we'll be set.
