Crawling out from my new semi-permanent home in the law library.

The sun feels pretty good, I gotta say. Mom and Dad, I'll be coming home for a bit to visit.

[Uncle Dean:] I need to brush up on some uh, family buisness skills. Would you mind if we caught up and worked on some things?

Another library dweller, huh? Do I have the stodgy ol' British dude for you.

Only until I pass the Bar. Then I believe I'll set up an office next to my pool, or maybe I'll work out of my car like my dad and uncle did.

Or, have really big windows in my office.

Because that's more likely, isn't it. I'm Aidan, by the way. Nice to meet you. And I'll uh, pass. On the stodgy British dude.

That sounds... weird. I never knew a lawyer who worked out of his car, but what the hell do I know, I work in graveyards.

Buffy. Nice to meet you too. And you don't know what you're missing, Giles is a wiz at the Dewey Decimal system.

Oh, my family isn't in the buisness of lawyering. Just me. Ironically, sometimes it was graveyard buisness, but hey- to each their own.

I'm sure I'll manage to get by without him, somehow. You new around here?

'Course not. Two almost lawyers in one family. Huh.

Thanks. I think something's up in the library, or I'm just that tired. But, before it winds up like the beginning of Ghost Busters, I figured I'd do something about it.

If argueing because you don't want to be wrong makes you an almost lawyer, then yeah. Dad's one, too. Ha.

That's got to be the shittiest place ever to haunt.

You know what I mean, kiddo.

It might be, but then you could be a ghostly perv, watching people getting on in the stacks.

Yeah, yeah. I know. Don't rag on Dad.

... do people really do that? That's one of the few places where I haven't. Got to third, but Sammy interrupted the grand slam. If you know what I mean.

That's not what I meant. I meant that your dad never got his shot to finish law school, and you're in the middle of it. So you're both almost lawyers. ... dude, are you doing the same thing your dad did to our dad?

Yeah, people do that. It's bloody challenging, I'll tell you what. Gotta keep pretty quiet, most of the time it's a stand up job so...uh. Um. Heh. Yeah, you don't want to hear that stuff. Sorry Dad made you strike out. He's good at interrupting things like that.

I don't know, he doesn't talk about him much. Dad likes things his way, and I don't always agree but...he's my dad and I respect him. Is that the same?

... no. No, I don't want to hear it.

It's pretty much the same thing they did, yeah.
