	They weren't too bad, I think the Purifiers were the worst out of it all. They're a lot like the fanatics I ran into back home. But on the bright side, there can be cool friends to make here. Or the vortex might bring some from home. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

From the past? ...I shouldn't be surprised, hm. I hadn't met anyone here from the future or past, most of us seem to have come from other worlds entirely. Though I guess you could say the past is another world.

As for what's going on, a tornado--apparently they're called vortexes--has taken you from wherever-you-were and replaced someone who was here with you. There is no going back, apparently. Though truthfully, I don't want to go back. Here I'm not hunted. That makes things much easier.

That's a large part of the difference for me, too. Apparently my world was...I think the word is medieval? Someone described it as that to me, at any rate. That, and this time and place are much more tolerant than where I came from. I spent my whole life as part of an underground resistance for something that here people either don't believe exists or don't care about. It's extremely strange.
