Basically, women have just the same legal rights as men do. As far as marriage goes, however, you are legally seen to be heads of the household, and whatever legal downfalls happen to the heads of household fall equally on yourself as well as your spouse.
You are also allowed to file joint taxes, and share bank accounts. Women actually have the better end of the bargain, due to prenuptial agreements. If you ask for a prenup, you can ask for half of the estate in the event of a divorce. Of course, nobody hopes for a divorce when they're married, but it does give women power.
