She doesn't promise salvation. She doesn't promise anything but comfort. She acknowledges death. She told me after my daughter died inside me that she couldn't help. That the death had to happen. That it wasn't my fault, that I'd make a good mother someday, but not biologically.
And then medical doctors told me the same thing. She doesn't promise quick fixes. Even the women who get hit - like me, once - she just says that they have to leave. I'll show up to help talk to them, but that's it.
