My dear friend, I use the honorific because I address you as a father, not as a colleague. Though frankly I'm assuming, at this point, that Iku-chan has already expressed frustration to you that I've not proposed yet.

Let me just get the formality out of the way: Do I have your permission to ask her for her hand? I'm not entirely certain how one goes about bonding oneself to a Nephilim, or how an angel gets married, but I want to ask her properly. Properly means your consent. One can still be a gentleman.
