If I didn't know better, I'd think everything that's happened since I got here has been one of those elaborate nightmares where people see the worst case scenario of where they'll end up if they don't get their shit together, and then they wake up screaming and become hermetic vegans who live the rest of their lives in a desperate quest of penance and self-redemption that involves contemplating worms while flogging themselves in the basement of a monastery.

Which um... I guess is an overly elaborate way of saying like... what did I do to piss off the legions of Hell itself? I mean... does anybody actually like me? I mean old-me? I mean... I know this was some kind of weird vengeance thing about some other guy or whatever but like... I also heard this ain't the first time I've been almost killed by demons or just really really pissed people off.

Shit. I don't wanna end up like that.

You're not the worst guy on earth, even old you isn't. I know a hell of a lot worse people than you are floating around. Shit, if you pissed off demons, it's like pissing into the ocean. They're always ticked about something. The best way to avoid them being all "Oh, hey, there's a dickweasel, let's smite him!" is to avoid THEM.

And even though I may have a connection to Hell.. after all, I'm the Antichrist and Satan is my mom, though from another universe.. I bear no ill will. Actually, I'm more easygoing, I believe in the "live and let live" or "let's all just have a fun party even if we're different" type of thing.

Unless some racist or super-religious jerk tries to end me, or they insult me and if I get pissed off.. yeah, it's gonna be very bad for them. But aside from the Purifiers, I've yet to meet anyone deserving of that, so everything's cool as far as I'm concerned.

I'm Miniver Cheevy. And I ain't got a thing against demons personally. I used to have a lot of really good friends who were like... versions of Satan or terrorists or space-pirates or drug addicts or whatever... I don't really care what a guy is except the only thing I care that he ISN'T is out to get me. That ain't cool with me because I only like pain when it's, y'know, a gesture of affection, so to speak.
