My mother was a scathing, self serving bitch who looked the other way when the bastard I thought was my father put my brother and me in a boxing ring and made us fight until one or the other couldn't get up. Maybe you're the lucky one.

She hopped a ride on the vortex express a couple days ago. Her mother didn't make the trip.

I know. I raised my own daughter until she was seven and her mother got out of jail came back for her.

They're good people. They helped me with my own kids.

I'm sorry that happened, Adriel. And I'm not sure I'd appreciate the constant reminder of the name. That's a big burden for a small child.

You lied to me. You told me you'd stay away from my dad. So yeah, I'm pissed. I think I have that right. My dad is thankful that he has me. Yeah, he's lucky, but that doesn't mean you have to wallow like this. You can get yourself some help. You can go to the same meetings my dad's going to.
