I'll admit I've not been the best at keeping in touch with my mother since she came back into my life. I guess after two centuries without her stoic presence, I was used to going about my life without consulting o checking in with her. Today, of course, I thought to drop by for a visit, given the stigma of the day.

She's gone. Not a trace of her to be had. My father seems to be MIA as well, though I'm certain he'll resurface as his home still bears the proof of his existence. Father, if you're reading this, you might want to check in with Rurik. The old bugger seems to be suffering in your absence.

That said, I need breakfast. Hrm. Perhaps lunch would be more fitting at this hour. Delia, love, I'd be delighted if you would join me.
