This... really isn't my graveyard.

Mother? Father? Silas? Eliza? Ms. Lupescu? Scarlett? Anyone?

You've a graveyard all your own? That's rather unusual, isn't it?

It's not so much that it's mine as in I own it, it's more that it's mine in that I grew up there.

Well, that and the Lady on the Grey said I have the Freedom of the Graveyard... which seems to work here too.

Huh.

Ah, of course. Well you're rather outside of where you started, fell here through the storm the same as all of us have, I was quite surprised by it at first as well, not having a tornado transit system where I'm from.

Welcome to here. I may not be a seasoned professional, but I know my way around well enough to be a private eye, which makes me smile every time, a Cat like me being an investigator.

Well, you know what they say about cats - I'm sure it helps with asking questions and such.

Huh, I'm studying to be a librarian, that sounds fantastic.

Oh, sorry. I'm Bod, Bod Owens.

Cat, Cheshire, The. Though around here I'm usually just Chas.

Librarians, the secret guardians of the world, they have access to all the information and it's best not to upset them, so I've been told.

Do you have any idea where you've landed, master Owens?

It's nice to meet you.

I'm pretty clever, or so I've been told.

I'm at Highgate Cemetary. One of the locals is helping me meet all the important people here. Mrs. Atkins is being really helpful, though I'd say I scared her to death if that weren't not a problem for her.

Ah, so it seems that you're well on your way to being popular enough not to have to worry too much about where you are. It's a good place to be. Though I daresay if you check your pockets you might find where you belong.

Oh, I've got an invitation to stay in the family crypt. I'm going to go get a pillow and some food and stay the night here before I do all that. I don't want to be rude.

Ah yes, it is best not to turn down an invitation of that sort. If you need help finding your way around outside the graveyard, all you have to do is call.

Thanks. If it's anything like the London I grew up near, I should be okay. I started leaving home more often after the Jacks of All Trades were gone, so I know how money and stuff works.

well then it doesn't seem as if you'll be as lost as all that, unless of course you find someone to lead you astray.

Actually, yes. Mrs. Atkins gave me directions, sort of, to the flat I have, though I'll probably end up sharing the family crypt for a while. Beds are kind of weird, no offense.

Crypt? You sleep in a crypt? You sound a lot like my cousin-person.

Hi. I'm Sable. If your place gets to seeming too empty, drop by my shop at [address]. It's no crypt, but there are nests here for folks to sleep in free of charge, and I'm more than happy to provide a cup of tea or a hot meal as needed.

Well, Mrs. Atkins and her family invited me to share. She kind of reminds me of my mother, but she's not in this graveyard. I might look around for her, though.

I'm Nobody, but everyone calls me Bod. Really? Food? I've been out in the world for a while - though I still live in the graveyard most of the time - but I'm still not very good at food.

Yeah, food. I can't promise you a gourmet meal or anything but I can give you something that'll fill you up.

If I'm not stealing you from Mrs. Atkins, feel free to drop by whenever you like. I'll phone my cousin and have him come by, too. I think you'd like him. I live in a book store, by the way. The address I gave you is my shop and my home.

Growing up, all Silas ever got me was pizza or food from shops open late at night. Ms. Lupescu, my summer instructor, she fed me lots of good Romanian food, though. I pretty much like everything.

Oh, I'm sure she'll get over the novelty of a live boy in her crypt sooner or later. I'll come over soon and meet the both of you.

My doors are open 24/7, friend. If I'm not awake when you drop by, my partner Judah will be. Tell him Sable sent you and he'll come fetch me. That's no trouble, really. I nap throughout the day, I'm used to people getting me up at all hours of the night.

I could just come through the wall, and I wouldn't wake you up. I'd just Fade until you came to. It's not that big a deal, I don't want to be rude when you're doing me a favor.

You're not being rude.

What's that mean, "Fade"? There's really always someone up and minding the place no matter what time it is.

If nobody's looking at me, I can make it where nobody can see me. It comes in handy.

I don't have to move to do it, though. Especially since I was avoiding a murderer most of my life, it really helped.
