Teja suggested I should speak to you. I've been dealing in rare and magical texts for some time now -- sort of a by-appointment-only deal to individual buyers. It's actually the primary source of income for my shop, since these folks are willing to cough up a lot of dough for what I've got.
Trouble is, I don't always really know what I've got. I've always known a good amount of it was likely forgeries, but I'm not an expert in rare books at all, and I'm ESPECIALLY not an expert in magic of any kind, as my world had none. On Teja's recommendation, I've decided to keep a historian on staff permanently to help manage the special collections -- one who DOES know ancient texts and something about magic.
If you have the time and interest, I'd like for it to be you. If not, perhaps you could recommend someone?
I wouldn't expect anyone in daily by any means. I'd like for you or whoever I hire to help me go through and identify everything I have right now -- close to 300 items, counting scrolls and individual sheets of loose paper and a few antiques. After that, I'll just need someone to help me inspect and identify new stuff I acquire, and maybe to come along when I have buyers over if you want to. I normally have Judah with me for those, because he comes with a little golem and it lets people know we're serious about dealing with the weird and rare. I get buyers coming by appointment maybe two or three times a month, sometimes less, rarely more.
So... tell me what you think. I can have you on as salaried staff.
