I've the next couple weeks off from my work with Cirque De Soleil, before it is time to start rehearsing for the holiday programme. I find myself to be rather bored, with nothing to fill the days, and particularly the nights.

And I find myself wondering if it is possible to become addicted to pumpkin pancakes.

Well, there's one way to find out, isn't there? Are you brave enough is the question.

Brave enough to conquer a stack of pumpkin pancakes? You bet I am.

I see your stack of jacks and raise with pie-spiced butter to slather said stack.

I raise your spiced butter with a steaming cup of coffee to go with it.

Damn. You aren't pulling punches at all, huh?

Hmm, whiskey then. To upgrade said coffee to Irish-status.

I fold, don't think I can top that.

Where am I meeting you, and might I have your name? I am Dustfinger.

Oh I'm sure you have ways.

Just ribbing ya. Come on up to the flat above Whitechapel Autos {map}, I'll get the griddle ready. And 'ello Dustfinger, I'm KK.

I'll bring the whiskey. Least I can do.

Do you mind if I bring a friend? I go nowhere without my Marten. His name is Gwin, and I'll keep him in my bag, but he will be with me.

As long as my tools and shop-bits stay accounted for, he can wander all he wants. The hazardous stuff is tightly lidded and hopefully he's clever enough to not swallow the shiny.

Thank you. I can't promise he'll behave himself, but he generally only eats edible food. He's rather picky, that won't be a problem.

Then he's welcome, I just cannot picture the conversation with my boss when I explain why we'll be getting the socket wrench bits at a later time.

Don't we all?

Should I make half-dollar cakes in case he's interested?

No, love. You're not boring. Not a tall. I didn't say that quite like I should have. Not working is giving me far too much time on my hands, is all. You are wonderful.

Um, we could.. go to the zoo? Or the beach somewhere warm. It has to be warm somewhere.
