I do not understand this place. My father is from when I was a little girl, my infant brother is an adult, my other dead brother is not only an adult but something of a demon or the like, my younger sister is an adult, older than me, my stepmother has recently married Lord Brandon, my other stepmother is engaged to someone she met, my former stepmother is married to a man identical to Lord Knivert and now my mother looks to be only a few years older than me. And I am in a world where women wear very little clothing and are not chaperoned with men that wish to court them.
