[Gatlin] Gatlin, Kezia has agreed to speak with you, if you'd like. She claims she is 'allergic to technology', or I would have forced her to answer you yourself.

[Vampires] The unfortunate loss of Bill and his Jack have left me in possession of his work on bloodwines, and I have more mixtures to try, if anyone is interested. So far, the O negative is closest to real, although AB negative is not bad, either. I could work on whatever you would like- there are notes for every type, and it is not like I have other work any longer.

All right.

Shall I come to you?

It might be best. All of her things are here.

I will warn you, it will probably look.. foolish? To you. But do not laugh. She is a pleasant woman, when she is mocked.

Is it really blood and wine all.. mixed together? That is just.. odd.

More or less. There are some that are simply blood substitutes- synthetics, I had developed from my world. It may seem odd, to some, but I've known some of our kind that have lived on it alone. It's for some, I suppose.

How very interesting. I suppose these sort of things have come around when I wasn't looking. And by some you mean those who don't wish to bite people?

I have not made it public- it was something I was doing for friends, before they left. And yes- or those who do not know willing donors. It was started, for the civil rights. In truth, it is just easier than hunting, most days.

That certainly makes a lot of sense. The world I come from, we don't have civil rights as such, but then I was the oldest one where I come from so I'm a bit out of touch. It sounds quite convenient, I might have to try some. I mean, if it's permitted.

Ah. It was not... a popular notion, in my world. But then, they were not afraid to kill humans didn't agree. Ended up with far too few. It became a bit more necessary, than working through which humans weren't belonging to some house.

Of course you can- I can make you an entire batch, if you like it. It's not so hard. Do you prefer a type?

That's usually the case isn't it? I've never come across a place where vampires and humans all live together in perfect harmony. I'm surprised it wasn't done before, but I suppose only now is the technology available.

That would be very kind of you, thank you. Um. A- perhaps? Though honestly if O+ is easiest, that's just fine with me. I'm rarely picky.

Yeah, me and my dad make them sometimes. They're like regular muffins, only drenched in blood. Or you can fill them with blood. They're pretty rad.

You really burned down a whole village?

Malakai, please. I'll spare you the last name- it never translates.

Interesting- I do not usually take blood with food. I may have to try, one day.

...I did. Granted, it was an accident, that time. But I was... not so nice a man, early in life.

Oooh, that's a pretty name. I'm Heather. Campbell. Which translates because it's also a soup.

Really? Never? I'd make you some but this is my first day in this weird alternate universe thing and I'm a little too confused and distraught to do any baking.

Ohmygod. That's totally badass.

Oh, is it? I am sorry. If you need help with anything- anything at all- do not hesitate to ask. I do not know what... politics, were like, where you are from, but we do not fight here, by some grace. It is a nice change.

I suppose that is one way to look at it. I was... a monster, for a long while after my turning. It was not so good. But I am too old for such things, now.

Aw, thanks! I'll definitely call you... I mean, I don't know if I need anything. I guess I just have to concentrate on maybe not eating the people in this house I'm at and go from there.

Vampire politics, like one of those movies? I wish. The only vampires in LA where I'm from were me and my dad, my brother and my mom. The dating scene was awful.

Turning? So you weren't born this way?

I'm afraid I've secluded myself away due to my writer's block. I apologize.

I have a nephew, gifted by the gods themselves, apparently. Life is certainly interesting for me -- to watch a child grow up unafraid of you as you hold him.

It is as strange as Renesmee entering my life, although a human child makes Rosalie happy. My sister always wished for a normal life, not the one we are forced to live.

Now that I have Donovan, it gets harder to find the time to go hunting these days. A human baby is far worse temptation... whatever you have?

I want it.

Blood with alcohol, never would have thought of that, granted, I'm not usually looking to store it, though I suppose that would keep it from clotting.

Synthetic though, how exactly does that work?

It also has a certain taste to it. I might be that much of a drunkard, though.

There is a component of human blood to it, but not more than... ten percent, to a mixture of other medical proteins, chemicals. A corporation mass-produced such a thing in my world, due to a shortage of humans. I can make a facsimile of it, at home- the perks, of being a vodka man, from home.

Interesting. How much would something like that cost? And how difficult would it be to transport?

Generally I stick with animals, but recently have found myself in a fairly close community where people notice even if those go missing. Even the wild ones.

There is no cost. It keeps an old man from going batshit, finding something else to do. And transport is not difficult- it is bottled, unlabled, and looks like very old red wine.

If you would like, I would be happy to send you a case to try.
