[Cass:] I was looking up at the sky today. It was just as blue as the ocean, and dotted with those really pretty whispy clouds that look like whipped cream. And I was just laying there on the beach, not doing anything, watching the clouds move. Watching the Earth turn. And I realized something: those clouds, even if they end up changing, will blow over Cambridge. They'll roll over me, then go visit you. You'll walk under them while you're at class. Maybe they'll pick up some rain on the way. Maybe they'll clear up and be so sparse you can't even see them. But the air I breathe, the carbon dioxide I exhale, it'll blow its way to you. Maybe I'll cry while you're gone. I can't say I won't. But I can say that I am so, so proud of you. My best friend, my husband, is brilliant. He's smart, and going to do even more amazing things than he already has.

More than anything I've done, I'm proud to know you and be loved by you. So yes. Go to MIT, and do well, and I'll be here at home, waiting for you.
