[Sadako] I don't know what's happened, and I don't know much about real grief, but I do know you're hurting, and I'm very sorry. If there's anything I can do - shoulder, ear, hug, punching bag - please don't hesitate to ask.

[LOCKED from Sadako]

Some of you have absolutely no compassion.

No, some of us do not.

It's a trait I've noticed over the years.

For now, leave it alone.

This is to do with the screaming thing, right?

It does.

Then non, I have no sympathy.

I might have had it if it weren't for the fact that someone has decided their pain is so great, they have to inflict it on the world. When your life falls apart, and you fall apart with it, it only shows that you're weak and stupid. I don't care if you've just seen your entire family destroyed brutally, you don't go around makin' life hell for anyone who even exists.

I don't care what happened, I just want them to stop. You want sympathy, act sympathetic.

She's grieving. But it doesn't mean that she has to annoy everyone with her grief.

It also doesn't mean people have to be jerks about it.

They're reacting naturally to an unnatural occurrence. She lost someone she loved, and that's unfortunate. What isn't unfortunate is the world's loss of him. She's overreacting, and she knows it.

It's a shame she never sleeps. These people won't have a chance to rest their minds from it until she stops being hysterical.

And I see how bitching at her is really going to help... Complaining is always the first way to stop hysteria.

Heaven forbid someone talk to her.

I already have. Talking does nothing, she'll continue being hysterical until she gets bored with it.

I - this is going to sound odd coming from me, but I think I need to actually cry. And not simply do it in my head.

It's not odd at all. Crying is sometimes the best thing we can do. Need a shoulder to do it on?

I don't want to hurt you. I haven't cried in a very long time, I don't know if I'll be safe to be around.

I am not sure you can do any real permanent damage... Physically, maybe, but there are ways around that. if you like, I can promise that if you are hurting me somehow, I'll leave.

Unless you'd prefer to be alone?

My husband is dead and my son killed him.

I need to not remember this. I need to forget Alexia, and the one who came before. I need to focus on my child.

I... oh. I'm so very sorry...

I might be able to help with that. The forgetting thing.

The worst part is that I don't blame my son. I would have done the same, were I him.

If what I'm about to try doesn't work, would you? I'm going to replace him in my genes with other things.

I can try. I'm not certain I can get what I need, but I'll see what I can do.

I hope it helps.

My son has convinced me to mourn and remember and live to honor his memory. Which is true - when people forgot me, I raged and killed a world. I shouldn't do that to Alexia.

Thank you for your kindness. And your friendship. Would you like to get tea sometime later in the week?

Memories are an important thing... Perhaps it might be best. And if needed - the other option is always there.

You're welcome, of course - although the thanks is unnecessary. And I think I would enjoy tea very much.
