I have declared the city in a state of emergency. All available military and medical personnel will be directed to the city. Once this atrocity is over and the dust has settled, our first priority is going to be rebuilding after this disaster. Any and all funds we have at our disposal will be available to those who've had their homes and businesses destroyed.
New York City has withstood worse than this destruction, and it will withstand anything else the world has to throw at it. We as a people are strong, we will survive. I will be working closely with the Mayor of our fair city to make sure that everybody who needs it has help. Shelters will be opened in Madison Square Garden, Central Park, Shea Stadium, Yankee Stadium and Nassau Coliseum as needed. All relief efforts will be coordinated from One Police Plaza.
I pledge to you as the governor of this fair state that I will do all within my power to help the citizens of New York City and any and all citizens of the State of New York to ensure that each and every one of you is taken care of.
