For once I find myself with absolutely nothing to do. This is... well it's rather freeing and rather terrifying all at the same time, I'm not used to having much free time for myself, I'm good at keeping busy, but I finished all of my household chores earlier in the week and I've got the day off at the Library tomorrow on account of renovations, so, does anyone have some suggestions on what to do on a Friday night in London?

As a matter of fact, I know a few good clubs there. You could go dancing, or just hang and take in the music and people. [location] and [location] are the best.

Dancing, I haven't been dancing since... well, it's been a while. Maybe I should take it up again.

Thank you for the suggestions, I'll certainly look into it.

It's fun, and it can be done alone, with a partner, or in groups.

You are very welcome.

I've got nothing in London, but if you want a good show I'm performing tomorrow in Vegas.

Of course I'll be there! Portkey, I've discovered, is actually quite a bit easier than traveling by journal, but I still keep one with me, just in case.

How've you been?

Quite well, as a matter of fact, I've recently found myself in the employ of a couple pirates and their ... well, she's their daughter, though she used to be their ship. Though it is rather strange to have friends my own age.

Pirates? Are you sure that's...safe?

What kind of amateur do you take me for, Dustfinger? I made sure of that before I offered my assistance.

You should see the library they've got.

I don't doubt you, Meggie. I doubt them. Pirates are notoriously untrustworthy.

These two are alright, I promise. They're mostly retired, anyway, which is why they needed help with the library.

You'd do anything for a good book, hmmm? Just. be careful. And if you ever have...if you need me, I'll be there.

Well, almost anything. I just get to categorize and shelve these though, some of them are a bit dangerous by themselves.

I know. That goes both ways, I can still re-write the endings.

Yeah. You're pretty amazing, with that.

They don't let you read the books? That seems counter productive.

Oh I can, I just have to pace myself so I don't end up reading them all instead of sorting and shelving like I'm supposed to. I wouldn't want to read the dangerous ones anyway, they bite.

Oh, my. I see. I trust you know which ones to avoid, then.

I do, yes, and I've Bill, one of my employers, to point it out to me if I miss one. For the most part those are kept in a different part of the house, but some of them migrate.

All right then. I'll trust you to handle yourself. I am quite proud of you Meggie, even if I've no right to be.

Oh I think you're allowed, after all you knew me when I was young, I think that qualifies you.

When I first met you, you were about the age of my own children. I never got to see them grow. You have grown into a fine young woman.
