It looks like everyone's powers are going away. Mine haven't yet, so before they do, Jasper and I are going to go away. I'm not sure how long or where... we'll be back when I can't fly anymore and Jasper's magic goes back to normal. Before they do, we just want to... try something.

My lady, it's difficult to explain the politics of our world in terms recognizable in this one, but Robin's people are legally enslaved in Morrowind, and generally treated as having fewer rights elsewhere, for although the practice of slavery has been abolished in other countries, all essentially bow to the will of Cyrodiil's Emperor, who allowed the Dunmer to continue the practice and was not especially heavyhanded in enforcing its illegality beyond Cyrodiil's borders. If he did not look so much like a Bosmer, there is every chance he might have been taken into slavery as a child as well. Those Khajiit whose appearance is more beastlike are frequently used as drug mules, forced into work in the ebony mines or egg caves, or kept as farmhands and manor pets by upper class elves.

It is considered deeply offensive to compare a Khajiit to a housecat, or suggest that they keep them as pets.

We know. And I have. He'll get over it soon. He always does. I'm not sure I've ever seen him mad longer than about half an hour.

Knowing my brother as I do, my lady, it's entirely possible that he may acquire a kitten somewhere now that the idea's in his head. Khajiit do often live with domestic cats, they simple loathe the idea of calling them pets, or buying and selling them as common livestock. Housemates, yes.

I wouldn't be surprised if Robin showed up with some flea-ridden alley stray sooner or later. I would advise you to have little to do with it, though. For my part, it would feel odd to accept a feline pet in any way other than as a companion of Robin's. It is generous and kind of you to offer. I know your intentions were good. If you really want to give him something, though, send something sweet over. Khajiit have an insatiable appetite for sugary things.
