Does anybody have any ideas for panic? I had the worst nightmare I ever had in my whole life, I feel so tired and exhausted but I don't know.

Breathing. Cross your left wrist and ankle over your right, sit up straight, and breathe low in your belly until it distends, then breathe back out slowly. Ten minutes of this always works, especially if you do it every day.

Yeah, y'know: boom stick. Puts holes in people. Having one around makes me feel very safe.

Maybe. But scary things are much less scary when you're in control of them. Then they're just scary for the people who were scaring you.

Don't have to. Sometimes threats work just as good.

Or maybe you just need a mercenary to protect you and beat up scary shadows.

That's because people are idiots. And people like to bully other people. They try to make you into something small and defenseless so they can feel better about themselves.

I have panic attacks and nightmares all the time. What I do is I count prime numbers to myself. That calms me down. So does the breathing thing.

Prime numbers?

Numbers that can't be divided by anything but themselves and one. Like 1, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13... I actually taught my best friend his prime numbers because he sat through my panic attacks with me.

Basically, you've got to focus on something repetitive and makes your mind work and focus on something else. If I get really mad, I start repeating back the Fibonacci sequence to myself because it's more complex and gets my mind off of things better. Math might not be up your alley, but it certainly helps me.

Is that normal for you? If it is, I could send you some tea that I drink that someone mixed up especially because of... my dream problem.

I hope you don't have those kind of nightmares.

No, I usually wake up from them quietly, just slightly scared. My dreams feel so real to me, I'm afraid to sleep.

You could probably benefit from it anyway. If you want to, you can port over to [address], which is Miss Missouri Mosely's tea shop. Tell her that I sent you and tell her what your trouble is. Chances are, she'll be able to tell anyway. She's really nice, and I'm usually shy around new people. Especially when they can do magic or read minds or whatever it is she does.

I hope you feel better, Miss Merope. Lucid nightmares are a heavy cross to bear. I've dealt with them my entire life, and I sympathize.

I always found listening to opera worked well against panic. Or remembering pleasant things, if you know of any.

You poor girl... there must be something. If you honestly can't think of something, though, I would recommend the opera.
