Someone tell me there's an explanation for this.

God, I hate traveling. It always makes me sick.

[website] Dan is here. I'll let him explain that website, as I doubt very much you wish to speak with me at greater length than necessary.

Oh, and because I'm sure the thought has already crossed your mind, I had nothing to do with this. I was brought here the same way you were. Not that I think you'll take my word for it, but I have to say it, nonetheless.

Just how I want to be introduced to any new universe. You seem quite sure of my reactions.

Was I wrong?

Right or wrong isn't the point, Adrian.

Your point seems to be that I should not have assumed to know your reactions, regardless of the way things were left. A fair point, I suppose. I apologize for the assumption.

Indeed. If I wanted to have a conversation with someone who knew what I was going to say, I'd speak with Jon.

Apology accepted.

Laurie? Oh thank God, someone who I can trust around here.

Dan... is this for real?

It is. We've been transported to another universe, an alternate one set in the future. This place does not seem to have been affected by what happened in our time of 1985.

Adrian claims to have nothing to do with it. Funny, I'm not sure I trust him. A future that doesn't have a destroyed New York in its past? Interesting.

This place does not have a destroyed New York in its past. I went as far as to research it the first time I was dropped off here by that tornado thing. This place is much better, it seems, and filled with loads of opportunity.

Have you checked your pocket yet for an ID? Find out where you live and maybe whomever you replaced had a job.

You've been here before? It's a lot to process.

I'm in DC, which is pleasantly familiar. With Credentials for something called Homeland Security. Where are you?

I'm in New York working as a professor of zoology. It was a very interesting experience before. The classroom setting is very different from 1985 and it's nice to put my degree to use.

Homeland Security...oh, the government watchdog program, so to speak.

At least Archie is here and working. Never liked that portkey thing.

Zoology professor sounds like an ideal profession for you. And it's good to hear about Archie - I do not think I'll be using portkeys. I've never been crazy about teleporting.

I'd like to see you.

Teleporting always did make you nauseous.

I'd like to see you, too. Should I come to DC? Me and Archie could be there in a little while.

That would be great. I'm at [address]. I look forward to it.
