Anyone know if we just disappear from our previous lives or if a duplicate is left behind?

Watching the Superbowl from home just isn't the same as being there. Seeing Bruce again would have made it better.

Where I'm from, if someone is pulled out, someone else falls in, to keep balance, I suppose.

From my experience, a duplicate is left behind. Ares can remember 4 years together after my last memory of home. So Some part of me was still there.

Either a duplicate is left behind, or we are the duplicates, or each of us actually comes from a different universe which is entirely parallel and identical up until the point that we disappear.
