Tell me, baby. Have you ever felt the curves of a woman?

An algebraic curve or a transcendental curve?

Oh, darling. You and I must get together.

It looks as though we already have a full party, I'm afraid.

That's too bad. I'm sure I'd have a fun time playing with your cards.

Cards? Pfft. D&D doesn't have cards.

It doesn't? Silly me. What does it have then?

Well, there are character sheets, which I prefer to print on cardstock. And there are dice and miniatures and maps and rulebooks.

Oh. Interesting. I think I would like to learn this game, care to be my teacher?

Statistically speaking, teaching is a waste of time. Did you know the average graduation rate for colleges is only fifty percent? And with how easy it is to pass some of those classes, one has to assume the retention rate is even lower.

I might be late. You know. Fighting crime. But it's been forever since I've felt the dice in my hand. Can I play?

Ah. Well. I. Er. I suppose we can make an exception for crime fighting. Yes. That's. Yes.

Well, darn it. That would have been fun.

That's always the problem with stumbling into yet another alternate universe...finding a good gaming group.

I'm Cooper.

Oh? So am I. Sheldon Cooper.

Well, maybe next time you can find a spot for me? I promise that I love Thai food, I am very hygienic, and I am currently working on my doctorate in linguistics and anthropology.

Cooper Jones. It's very nice to meet you, Sheldon.

I'm seriously considering rolling a diplomacy check to see if I can change your mind.

You would have to roll pretty high.

Well, half-elves get a +2 racial bonus.

Perhaps, but once I've made up my mind the DC is incredibly high.

But a negotiator feat adds a second +2 bonus. I'm feeling pretty confident in my chances.

After all, even if I fail, better to at least try than to give up.

My table only seats four. And I'm certainly not going to tell Spiderman that he isn't coming.

I can see how unseating Spiderman would not be a conceivable notion. I'm perfectly willing to sit on the floor.

[info]quantum_ass
2009-01-04 04:33 pm UTC (link)
The floor? Ridiculous. I have carpet. It's impossible to gauge an accurate roll on carpet. And besides, even if you used a hard rolling surface, how would you reach the map?

I had every intention of using these newfangled contraptions I call legs to stand up when necessary so that I could access the table.

The only way you could be more geeky right now is if you played D&D, worked for Torchwood and were a master of computers.

Oh wait.

Hey! Kyo is the mistress of computers, thank you very much Freddles. I merely dabble.

That was entirely uncalled for, by the way.

[info]justcallmefred

That doesn't mean you're any less geeky. This is dabbling? Come on.

Naw, it's cute. I'm only teasing.

I merely dabble with computers. This? So not dabbling.

Thank you. This is why you're my favourite cousin who isn't actually from my reality.

Total and utter dork. Beyond dorkism. I'm not even sure Kyo is this dorky.

I'm sure my brother is though.

Well you're my favorite cousin who isn't from my reality too.

What's wrong with being a dork? It's fun! I am embracing my inner geek. We all need a bit of fun in our lives, Fred.

Oh? Is that so? How have I never heard of this side of our dear Tyler?

Yay! I feel special. Though to be fair...everyone else is your siblings.

Nothing's wrong with being a dork, but you take it to epic levels.

Of course, he's my brother. He has to be a dork. We have a third Time Lord genes, it's just kind of obvious he's a nerdling.

Guess you've got a point there. Man I've got a lot of them.
