I ventured outside today...just in the courtyard.

How does everyone deal with those high buildings? Aren't you afraid they will fall on you? I had to sit on the ground because I got dizzy looking at them.

There are lots of strange noises and smells. It is rather...unpleasant.

My doctor says that they are vetting someone who says they know me. I'm very nervous about that, because I don't know these people.

Things have gotten very worrying.

	Denmark was lovely and green. And very quiet, compared to here. I knew all the flowers there. I am from around 1600. It wasn't necessary to know the precise year. Apparently, my story is some sort of play, so they thought I was mad. I've been faking amnesia since. At least I've been able to rest since then. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I do not think I have ever heard of it in my time, so I think perhaps you are right. I...was mad, before I came here. And I was very upset. At least they call me Ophelia now. 	I think I'm going to attend school. Probably for business, though I may decide to become a police officer. I'm not sure yet. It's uncommon for young men to know what they want to do in this time, though occasionally I wish that were less the case. Do you have anywhere to live if they release you? 	Um. . . superhero. But not all that super, really. So, just a hero. No, it wouldn't. I've never liked seeing people hurt by their families. It happens way too often in this world just like it does in my own, and probably yours as well. But there are happier things to talk about. For now, I'll hope for the best for you. 	Oh. That sounds like a good type of profession. It is, rather. I do miss my flowers. I really do miss Elsinore, even if people did mistreat me there. It was a large building but it made sense, not like these immense structures of metal and glass. 	Samoa was nice. It had its quiet parts. It's a small island in the Pacific ocean. I don't think all the quiet and green places are gone, though they're becoming fewer. There are parks where you can go for a short while and enjoy nature. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Your Samoa sounds lovely, as well.

It sounds as if I have a lot to learn about this world. I am just glad I have found friends who will help me. It is most encouraging.

Even the doctors here have been very kind. I am just glad they do not do trepanning or leechcraft any longer.
