...the severe magnetic disturbances from last night were written off last night by scientists places high in the British Academy of Science and Technology as 'merely fluctuations in the continuum as per normal settlings of the electromagnetic sphere. I am sure that this reporter does not have to tell you she did not believe that one, not at all.
The disturbances, which happened early today, were not detected by most, and caused random people and things to be effected, from a young man to be thrown a mile from his original spot, to Microsoft's entire computer network to undergo a backward restore to Windows 98 SE, causing countless problems and conflicts...
...and police spoke on the shocking scenes they found at the scene when they responded to the reports of disturbances. An entire block was destroyed by seeming unknown causes. Unknown, that is, until the bodies were found within the wreckage. Two bodies, identified as Erik Magnus Lensherr, and Doctor Charles Norris.
Within moments of identification, the scene had been sealed by the local division of the SCU(Superhuman Crimes Division), and the following brief statement was issued.
'Today, this area was the scene of a conflict between at least two superhumans of unknown powers and abilities. Thankfully, it appears as if the damage was limited in scope.'
No one else at the SCU could be reached for comment at the time of publication...
...the fires seemed to be limited to the very small complex of doctors's offices and laboratories known as the McCain Complex. Firefighters were still looking for the cause of the blaze at the time of publication.
