Malakai
It's not a talisman which works for vampires alone. In fact, its origin predates vampirism in that part of the world - It's Aztec. The shamans created this talisman so that while working under the heat of the midday sun, they wouldn't suffer heat stroke or sunburn. It's worked for me for over two and a half centuries, I can't see why it wouldn't work for you. My mortal descendant wears one while he's working outside, as well. He hasn't suffered sunburn yet.
Ah, Miss Calliope. Be wary of her, Malakai, she's a sharp one - a bit off her rocker, though I'm starting to realize that a good portion of us go mad after living so long.
Tomorrow's fine. I'll bring along a bit of my research and a talisman. If your witch wishes to speak of other such things, I'm a priest in Haitian vodoun and do a fair amount of research into all magics.
